Ghanaian actress and businesswoman, Lydia Forson has spoken about the motivating factors which may have caused Ghanaians to massively vote out the NPP administration.

The actress in an interview with James Copnall on BBC's Newsday on December 9, 2024 after the elections said the lack of accountability by the Akufo-Addo government caused the major setback for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the elections.

Lydia Forson explained that the economic hardship and difficulties experienced by Ghanaians eroded the party loyalty of Ghanaians during the elections, stressing that the Ghanaian voters are now becoming discerning. "This election was really about the people; it was not about any political party.

The electorate is becoming more and more discerning.
