The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, has urged Ghanaians to wait patiently for the declaration of the results of the presidential election held on December 7.

According to her, it is barely 23 hours after the polls ended, whereas they have planned to declare the results within 72 hours.

She therefore asked Ghanaians to wait patiently for the results as they trickle in from the Regional Collation Centres. "I would like to appeal that citizens exercise patience.
