There is heightened tension at the Eastern Regional Office of the Electoral Commission (EC) despite the presence of heavy police reinforcement.

Party leaders of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP), along with their respective parliamentary candidates for the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, Fume Selorm Philibert (NDC) and Frank Annoh-Dompreh (NPP), are both contesting the parliamentary election results for the constituency.

Reports allege that over 100 pink sheets-both original and duplicates-from several polling stations in the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency were destroyed during a scuffle at the district collation centre on Friday.
