Tragedy struck in the Damongo Constituency of the Savannah Region after a violent protest at the Damongo Municipal Collation Centre resulted in the death of one person and the destruction of the Electoral Commission (EC) office.
The incident occurred when a group of angry youth, frustrated by delays in the declaration of election results, set the EC office on fire.
The blaze caused extensive damage to the building and its contents.
During the chaos, an NDC supporter, Sibannira Mukaila, was reportedly shot.
