The Electoral Commission (EC) has called on Ghanaians to remain patient as it continues the process of collating and verifying election results.
At a press conference on Sunday, December 8, Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the EC and the National Returning Officer for the Presidential Election addressed the public to provide clarity on the intricate process involved in declaring results.
Her clarification follows pressure from the National Democratic Congress (NDC), which had earlier called on the National Peace Council (NPC) to urge the EC to expedite the collation and announcement of the results.
Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Chairman of the NDC, expressed frustration at the delay and stressed the need for timely communication from the EC.
