The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Dome-Kwabenya, Mike Oquaye Jr., has called for the suspension of the collation process in the constituency, citing security concerns following reported chaos at the collation centre.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Richard Sky on Channel One TV, Oquaye claimed that supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) stormed the collation centre, vandalizing election materials, including pink sheets, and causing widespread disruption.

According to Oquaye, the supporters justified their actions with claims that the NDC had won the parliamentary seat, referencing John Mahama's victory in the presidential race.

The disturbances reportedly led to violence, including an attack on an NDC constituency executive member, and prompted security officials and other stakeholders to flee the premises.
