Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia says he has congratulated former President John Dramani Mahama for winning the general elections.
Dr Bawumia also congratulated the NDC for winning the parliamentary election as well.
He indicated that per their own collated results Mr Mahama has won the elections hence his congratulatory message.
In his concession address on Sunday, December 8, he said "Let me say the data indicate former president Mahama has won the presidential election decisively. "The NDC has also won the parliamentary elections even though we await the final collation of seats. "I just called H.E John Mahama to congratulate him." He said he "assured Mr Mahama of full support in the transition process so that the government business would continue seamlessly."
