King of Asante, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II in 2016 warned that anger and hunger from Ghanaians could spell doom for the New Patriotic Party(NPP) after they voted against the National Democratic Congress(NDC) government at the time. The King has indicated that the NDC lost the 2016 polls because Ghanaians were hungry and also angry with the performance of the John Mahama-led administration urging that Akufo-Addo work hard to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians lest he would also voted out of power under the same circumstance that confronted his predecessor.
The Overlord of Asanteman gave the warning when the then President-elect Akufo-Addo called on him at the Manhyia palace as part of his 3-day 'thank you tour' of the Ashanti Region which is the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP)'s stronghold, following the huge number of votes he secured during last year's general election. "Ghanaians voted during the 2016 election based on how hungry and angry they were with the Mahama-led NDC government, that is why he lost the election.
Nana Akufo Addo must be told that if he doesn't perform to the expectation of Ghanaians he'll be kicked out of office the same way John Mahama was done.
I know Nana Akufo Addo is competent and will deliver.
