The National Peace Count (NPC), the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), and other partners in the Election Situation Room have condemned the shooting incident in Nyankpala in the Northern Region.
They acknowledged the confirmed arrest of four individuals by the Ghana Police Service in connection with the incident, which resulted in one death and one injury.
In a statement issued in Accra, the NPC expressed its firm condemnation of any violence, including killings and injuries, during the election period.
The statement also conveyed condolences to the families and communities in Nyankpala and other areas affected by this tragic electoral violence.
