The (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Dome Kwabenya in the Greater Accra Region has lost the 2024 parliamentary elections to the (NDC) candidate, Faustina Elikplim Akurugu.
According to the returning officer of the Electoral Commission, the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA), Michael Oquaye, garnered 50,477 votes, while Akurugu secured her win with 51,634 votes.
Meanwhile, Vice-President and (NPP) Flagbearer, Dr.
Mahamudu Bawumia, officially conceded defeat to his main opponent, John Dramani Mahama, in Ghana's 2024 Presidential Election.
