Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has said that the direction of the election results is obvious to many people although counting is yet to start.

In his view, Ghanaians are fed up with the "abysmal performance" of the Akufo-Addo administration hence their resolve to vote for change. "Everybody sees the direction of the results because of the abysmal performance of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration," he told journalists after casting his ballot in Bole during the Saturday, December 7 polls.

Prior to his comments, his spokesperson, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, had accused the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) of attempting to rig the general elections.

She stated that there have been several attempts to intimidate voters to deter them from casting their ballots.
