The Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Akatsi North, Volta Region, Abraham Ahiabu, has denied being arrested and investigated in connection with the possession of dummy ballot papers, as announced by the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) in a statement.
Clarifying the matter, Mr.
Ahiabu indicated that while the police questioned him, he was not under investigation for any wrongdoing.
He told Accra-based Joy FM that the statement by the Immigration Service was a calculated effort to justify border closures in the Volta Region ahead of the December 7 elections.
