The Electoral Commission (EC) has urged the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to withdraw their supporters from the constituency collation centres nationwide.
The call was made by the Deputy Chairperson of the EC in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey, at a press conference in the early hours of December 8. 3news correspondents across the country have reported that huge numbers of supporters of both parties have thronged various constituency collation centres.
According to Mr Tettey, the presence of the supporters at the collation centres is impeding the collation process. "I wish to urge the political parties to withdraw their supporters immediately.
