The die is cast, and some New Patriotic Party (NPP) Members of Parliament will only stay in the august House for the remaining days until January 6, 2025.

Their failure to secure a return ticket to the legislature forms part of what seems to be a massive shake up of the law-making body after the December 7 elections.

Their defeat, per provisional results released by the Electoral Commission, has come to many as a surprise.

Yet others hold the view that it was only a matter of time.
