Ghanaians are in a celebratory mood after the National Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Bawumia, conceded defeat to John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Party (NDC).
In a press briefing held at his residence on Sunday, December 8, 2024, Bawumia announced that he had congratulated Mahama in a phone call and that his victory shows Ghanaians have spoken.
He added that the NPP will regroup and bounce back stronger.
On Saturday, December 7, Ghanaians went to the polls to elect a new leader for the next four years.
