In a hard-fought race, Ibrahim Ahmed of the National Democratic Congress has emerged victorious in the Banda Constituency parliamentary election.
Provisional results show Ahmed secured a narrow but decisive win over his closest rival, Joe Danquah of the NPP.
As of the latest count, Ibrahim Ahmed garnered approximately 9,150 votes, while Joe Danquah trailed with 8,010 votes.
Voter turnout was higher in urban areas, with more participation than in rural regions of the constituency.
