Henry Quartey, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Ayawaso Central, has been unseated by Abdul Rauf Tongym Tubazu of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Quartey, representing the New Patriotic Party (NPP), polled 23,345 votes, while Tubazu secured 29,755 votes to claim victory.
Charles Kwame Adams of the National Democratic Party (NDP) managed 163 votes.
Out of a total of 53,550 votes cast, 287 ballots were rejected.
