Independent parliamentary candidate for the Asante Akyem North constituency Ohene Kwame Frimpong has won the 2024 parliamentary elections.
Ohene garnered a whopping 26,926 votes, beating the incumbent New Patriotic Party (NPP) MP and candidate Andy Appiah-Kubi, who received 8,933 votes.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate, Kofi Asamoah, secured 2,469 votes.
Results from the various constituencies are being announced following the counting and collation of votes at the various polling and collation centres across the country.
