The (NDC) has clinched the Akuapem South constituency seat in the Eastern Region from the (NPP).
The party's candidate, Lawrencia Dziwornu polled 15,438 votes, beating Eric Yeboah Apeadu 's (NPP), candidate who secured 15,304 votes.
The incumbent MP for Akuapem South Osei Bonsu.
Amoah who was a member of the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Parliament did not seek re-election.
