Incumbent Member of Parliament for Sekondi Andrew Egyapa Mercer has lost the seat to National Democratic Congress' (NDC) Blay Nyameke Armah.

Mercer polled 11,084 votes, representing 42.94% of the total valid votes as against Armah's 14,558 votes representing to 56.40%.

Out of the 25,813 votes cast, 171 ballots were rejected.

This represents a notable change in the Sekondi parliamentary seat, as Mercer had previously held a strong lead in the 2016 elections.
