The ninth election of Ghana's Fourth Republic has been a fairly eventful one, with a number of incidents characterizing what has been a relatively smooth election process.

The elections commenced in most polling centres at 7:00 AM and closed at 5:00 PM, with Ghanaians casting their votes to decide the direction of the country for the next four years.
