The polls have officially ended at most polling stations across Ghana, with sorting and counting of ballots now underway.
At the Achimota Market Polling Center 1, emotions ran high as votes were tallied.
Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) erupted into cheers when it became evident that their candidate, John Dramani Mahama, had won by pulling 153 votes, closely followed by Vice President Bawumia and the NPP with 123 votes.
Movement for Change's Alan Kyeremanten had 1 vote while Ghana Union Movement led by Osofo Kyiri Abosom received 3 votes.
