The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), has encouraged electoral officials to eschew integrity and professionalism in their duties for Saturday's elections.
Addressing the media on Thursday, December 5, 2024, Jean Mensa highlighted the crucial role of officials in ensuring a transparent, free, fair and credible electoral process.
She emphasised the importance of Presiding Officers' work at the polling stations including counting of votes, culminating of pink sheets and urged them to be guided by God's light in the performance of their duties.
Jean Mensa reminded the officials that their actions throughout the elections will one day be accounted for before the throne of God, hence they should maintain fairness and honesty. "Your role as Presiding Officers, and here I am talking about Presiding Officers, and your work at the Polling Stations, which culminates with the Pink Sheets, is what determines the outcome of the Election.
