A ary Adhoc Committee on the Akosombo Dam spillage has ended a tour of assessment of the three Tongu enclaves devastated by the floodwaters. The Speaker of , pursuant to Order 262 of the revised Standing Orders (2024), has formed a seven-member adhoc committee to assess the impact of the Akosombo Dam spillage on affected communities and the adequacy of relief efforts. The committee was also tasked to review the methodology and protocols and consider best practices globally to regulate and avert flood disasters in the future. The committee, comprised of members of from both sides of the House, included Suleiman Adamu Sanid, Emmanuel Marfo, Madam Francisca Oteng-Mensah, Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, Madam Helen Ntoso, Mr. Kwabena Donkor, and Kennedy Kludjeson, a technical expert.
