The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC), Jean Adukwei Mensa, has emphasized that the Commission's mandate is not to make any individual a president or Member of Parliament.
Instead, the EC is committed to conducting orderly, credible, fair, and highly professional elections. "Ours is to conduct orderly, credible, fair, and highly professional and efficient elections.
That is what we have all been employed to do, and that is what we have employed you to do," Mensa stated in a passionate address to EC officials responsible for the December 7, 2024, elections.
Mensa charged the officials to carry out their duties with integrity and to let truth guide them.
