Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwasi Pratt, has explained that it does not make sense for ministers who are political party activists to be allowed to take some security decisions ahead of the 2024 elections.

Pratt was commenting on the decision by the Interior Ministry to close down all land borders of the country ahead of the 2024 elections.

To him, the decision taken by the interior minister renders the security task force led by the Inspector General of Police useless. "Now we have ten hours to elections and I'm deeply worried that we have a situation where Ministers who are card-bearing members of a political party are taking security decisions.
