An Accra Circuit Court has sentenced Mohammed Ibrahim a Sowutuom Branch Organiser of the National Democratic Congress to 4 years imprisonment.
Charges levelled against Mr Ibrahim included publication of false news with intent to cause fear and alarm, threat of harm, and offensive conduct to breach the peace.
He however pleaded not guilty.
On September 10, Mohammed Ibrahim, who doubles as the Commander of a revolutionary group known as "Ka na wu" was arrested by the Police after a video of him making inciteful comments on social media went viral on September 3.
