King Mohammed VI of Morocco presided over a Council of Ministers meeting on December 4, 2024, at the Royal Palace in Rabat.
The session centred on Morocco's preparations to co-host the 2030 FIFA World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal.
Fouzi Lekjaa, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Economy and Finance and Chairman of the 2030 World Cup Committee provided an update on Morocco's progress since the joint bid was announced in March 2023.
He highlighted FIFA's evaluation report, which awarded Morocco an outstanding score, exceeding required standards and solidifying the nation's readiness to host the tournament.
