The governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ketu North Constituency of the Volta Region has called on the police to uphold its integrity by intensifying internal security during Saturday's polls to prevent violence.
The Ketu North Constituency NPP Chairman, Mark Thompson Gbeti said this was imperative following pockets of violent attacks and destruction of the party's campaign materials.
Addressing the press, he said there was heightened tension hence, the police must be proactive to safeguard the peace and harmony of the constituency.
Ketu North has been recognized as one of the hotspots in the upcoming general elections in the Volta Region.
