Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has made it clear that his acceptance of the December 7 general election results will depend entirely on the transparency and credibility of the process.
Speaking in a recent BBC interview, Mahama raised concerns about potential irregularities and violence that could jeopardize the integrity of the elections.
Mahama emphasized the importance of a free and fair process, warning against ballot snatching, voter intimidation, military interference, and the activities of thugs.
He posed a rhetorical question to underline his point: "If on election day, there is widespread ballot snatching, beating of people, military intimidation, and thugs causing chaos, you expect me to accept that result?" His message was clear, acceptance of the results will only follow a transparent and credible election.
