The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced plans to hold regular media briefings during the December 7 general elections to provide timely updates to the public.
Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman of Operations at the EC, stated in a press release on Thursday, December 5, that the briefings aim to ensure transparency and keep the public informed throughout the electoral process.
Media personnel with accreditation for the National Collation Centre are invited to cover these briefings.
The EC emphasized the importance of collaboration with the media in delivering accurate and timely information to Ghanaians as the elections unfold. "At 9:00 am on 7th December 2024, the Commission will hold the first media briefing.
