Renowned Highlife musician Kwabena Kwabena has advised young artistes to consider embracing Highlife, a genre he believes holds the key to creating hit songs.
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, Kwabena Kwabena expressed disappointment that many young musicians overlook Highlife in favor of other genres, despite its strong influence on today's top hits. "Highlife is thriving, and if you want hits, stick to the genre.
Some may think it's old-school, but many of Ghana's biggest hits-such as Fameye's Very Soon, King Paluta's Makoma, KiDi's Lomo Lomo, and Stonebwoy's Jejereje-are deeply rooted in Highlife," he explained.
