The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Former President John Dramani Mahama is mocking his opposite number in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia over the e-Gate that failed to open initially at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA). One of the gates did not open for Dr.
Bawumia during the commissioning of the new facility at the KIA on Tuesday December 2.
Nonetheless, the commissioning took place as scheduled.
Reacting to this, Mr Mahama said during his campaign at Mpatom, Manson Nkwanta in the Ashanti Region on Wednesday, December 3 "The digital gates didn't open for the digital man, you can do all the propaganda with the digitalization you like, if the fundamentals of the digitalization is weak, the digital gates will expose you." The digital border control system, which allows rapid biometric and facial immigration checks, will enable holders of the Ghanacard to swiftly go through designated e-gates without immigration officials on arrival at the Kotoka International Airport.
