The Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), founded by the late Akua Donkor, has officially thrown its support behind the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, former President John Dramani Mahama, ahead of the December 7, 2024, general elections.

This endorsement follows the disqualification of the GFP's presidential candidate, Philip Appiah Kubi, also known as Roman Fada, by the Electoral Commission (EC) due to irregularities in his nomination forms.
