Former Director of Public Relations and External Affairs at the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), Nana Yaa Jantuah, has emphasized that the signing of a peace pact is meaningless without equity and fairness.
In an interview on Kingdom FM, monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Nana Yaa Jantuah voiced her concerns regarding the postponement of the special voting exercise for the Eastern and Western regions, initially scheduled for yesterday, now moved to Thursday, December 5, 2024.
The delay, she noted, was due to the recall of printed ballot papers for the two regions.
While acknowledging that political parties and candidates have signed a peace pact, Nana Yaa asserted that "if there is no equity and fairness, there is no peace." She questioned how peace could be achieved when fairness is absent.
