The Electoral Commission (EC) has urged the public to disregard a video circulating on social media that allegedly shows a copy of the Voters Register for Ahafo Ano 1 and 2 being transported in a white pickup truck along with other registers.

In a statement signed by Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Commissioner in charge of Operations, on Wednesday, December 4, the EC clarified that the voter register shown in the video does not belong to the Commission and urged the public to disregard it.

According to the Commission, the said video is an attempt to create suspicion and mistrust for the Commission and its work. "It is important to note that the Commission provides the Final Register to the Political Parties.

As has been the practice, the Political Parties also print the Final Register for their Agents.
