Former Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu, has descended heavily on the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as an incompetent candidate who should not be the country's next president.
In one of his epistles released three days before the 2024 general election, Amidu revealed how Vice President Dr Bawumia entered Ghana's politics.
Providing a political history of the vice president's family, Martin Amidu stated that Dr Bawumia and his family were originally members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) until he transitioned to the NPP after his wish to become the NDC's running mate failed.
Amidu stated that he would not endorse Dr Bawumia for the presidency because his boss, the sitting president, Nana Akufo-Addo, is corrupt and has failed the country.
