Inflation in Ghana edged up slightly to 23.0% in November 2024, compared to 22.1% in October, marking the third consecutive monthly increase after a five-month decline.
Food inflation saw a significant rise, increasing from 22.8% to 25.9%, while non-food inflation dipped marginally from 21.5% to 20.7%.
Government Statistician, Prof.
Samuel Annim, explained that the 23.0% inflation rate represents a 0.9 percentage point increase compared to the 0.6% rise recorded in October. "Consumer price index for November 2024 stood at 243.9 relative to 198.2 that was recorded for this same period in November 2023.
