The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government has secured funds for the construction of about 20 interchanges across the country, Minister of Roads and Highways, Francis Asenso-Boakye has disclosed.The Minister, in an exclusive interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo' show, noted that none of the road works that have commenced under this administration will be left uncompleted.He assured Ghanaians that every ongoing road network is already financed, hence will all be completed to ease traffic and facilitate commutes.Francis Asenso-Boakye asserted that the current government has constructed more roads than the previous Mahama government, stressing the New Patriotic Party has done 13,624 kilometers of road work in the nation.Detailing the track record of the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration in the road sector, the Minister stated the government has, in the Ashanti Region, which has the largest road size in Ghana, constructed 2,126 km of road works, representing a "172% increase over what the NDC did" in the region, which was the NDC constructing 781 kilometers.He continued, "In the Western Region, NDC did 567, but NPP has done 758 (34% increase).

In the Bono Region, for instance, NDC did 151 kilometers, but NPP under Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr.

Bawumia has done 509 kilometers; this is a 228% increase over what the NDC did.

In the Bono East Region, there is a 278% increase from 146 by NDC to 547 kilometers by the NPP administration.
