Mahamudu Bawumia has unveiled a state-of-the-art Electronic Gate (E-Gate) system at Kotoka International Airport (KIA), marking a significant milestone in Ghana's quest for technological advancement in border management.
The E-Gate system, equipped with artificial intelligence, biometrics, and advanced data processing technology, promises to transform the travel experience, making it faster, more secure, and more efficient. "Our E-GATE leverages cutting-edge technology such as artificial intelligence, biometrics, and a data processing system to create a frictionless travel experience," Dr.
Bawumia said during the launch. "With the ability to facilitate E-visas, Ghana is now prepared for the future of border management." The Vice President emphasized that this innovation underscores Ghana's readiness to embrace the fourth and fifth industrial revolutions, reflecting the nation's adaptability and ambition to remain at the forefront of global technological progress.
