Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, the Minister for Transport, has emphasized the crucial role of partnering with the private sector to enhance Ghana's transport system.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Gh Express ultra-modern terminal and STC Labour Branch in Kumasi, Asiamah noted that a poor transport system not only affects the economy but also hinders the country's progress.Asiamah acknowledged the significant contribution of the private sector to the transport system, citing that it constitutes 95% of public transport services.

He stressed the need for collaboration between the government and private sector to prioritize the transport sector and drive economic growth.The commissioning of the Gh Express ultra-modern terminal and STC Labour Branch in Kumasi marks a significant milestone in the government's efforts to improve the transport system.

The newly commissioned edifice boasts an event center, shopping mall, barbershop,restaurant and other facilities.Peace News Sampson Kwame Nyamekye said Hon Asiamah also announced that the government is working to introduce more eco-friendly transport systems, including electric buses.
