The Asantehene, , was pleased when the presidential candidate, former President , called on him and his chiefs at the Manhyia Palace on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.
The king said that Mahama's visit to his palace shows that the former president and his party, the (NDC), have no issues with Manhyia as previously asserted. "Some of my people have been thinking that you (the NDC) are quarrelling with Manhyia because you have not been here.
When your running mate visited me, I asked her whether the NDC did not want to come and greet me because she was selected before NAPO but was not introduced to me first. "Today, you have said for everyone to hear that Manhyia is your home," the Asantehene said in Twi.
Otumfuo said that his palace is open to every group and plays a role in choosing Ghana's leaders.
