The Minister for Employment, Labour Relations and Pensions, Ignatius Baffour Awuah has extended the tenure of the current Board of Trustees of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).
The tenure of the board had expired on August 9, 2024, but has been granted an extension until January 6, 2025.
The Public Relations Officer at the Ministry who confirmed the news to 3news.com on Monday December 2, Salam Aminu Mohammed said the Minister made this announcement during a meeting with the SSNIT Board of Trustees on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Ministry's Conference Hall.
The Minister noted during the meeting that the extension of the tenure of the Board is aligned with the tenure of the President.
