The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has called on Ghanaians to ignore misleading prophecies that may threaten the country's tranquillity.
Religious and traditional authorities are collaborating with political parties and youth organisations to foster peace and motivate stakeholders to facilitate a seamless and conflict-free electoral process.
Speaking on behalf of the Asantehene, on November 29 during the annual prayer gathering, the Chief of Sewua, Nana Kwaku Amankwa Sarkodie, called on religious leaders to focus on fostering national unity ahead of the elections, rather than making predictions that could incite conflict.
Nana Sarkodie emphasised the importance of ignoring false prophecies as the country prepares for the elections. "We will be going to the polls very soon.
