The National Deputy Communication Officer of the (NDC) Malik Basintale has been honored by the Wa-Naa, Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV. Malik Basintale was conferred with Yel-Naa, which means Chief of Communication. The short ceremony took place at the palace of the Wa-Naa, Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV. It came in the wake of Basintale's public spat with Sissala East MP, Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, a report by myjoyonline.com said. In his acceptance speech, the NDC National Deputy Communications Officer addressed the plea made by the Wa-Naa regarding his "brother" Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, stating, "I will plead with the Wa-Naa to just turn a blind eye to a slave and his master's little play." Malik Basintale acknowledged that the two were "only playing with each other" and that Amidu Chinnia Issahaku had now accepted him as his "chief," while declaring that "the play is over".
