Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of steering clear of economic issues in their campaign, citing their alleged failure to fulfil promises made to Ghanaians.
Mahama argued that the fundamentals of the economy remain weak, with the exchange rate exposing the ruling government's shortcomings.
He claimed this has left the NPP unable to address critical economic concerns in their campaign messaging.
Speaking during the "Enti Asanteman Aseda Ni" walk in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Mahama expressed concern over the collapse of businesses, which he attributed to what he described as the poor economic performance of the NPP administration. "You confirm from every Ashanti businessman, that their businesses have collapsed.
