A Professor at the University of Ghana, Ransford Gyampo has accused President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of squandering the goodwill people had in him when he became president.
He expresses the view that Mr Akufo-Addo deceived Ghanaians to vote for him to become president.
Speaking on the Key Points in relation to the report of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) on the National Cathedral Project, he said "I was the first to say his exgratia and his entitlements to be used to defray the cost. "Akufo-Addo deceived all Ghanaians into thinking that he was something that he isn't, he has dissipated the goodwill." Also commenting on the same show, North Tongu lawmaker Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said the eminent clergymen who were members of the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral Project who face a possible prosecution were misled by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on this project.
Mr Ablakwa argued that President Akufo-Addo is the one to be held solely liable for the failure of this project because everything begins and ends at the doorstep of the president.
