The Summary of Financial and Economic Data of the Bank of Ghana (BoG) has revealed that Ghana's total public debt was GHS761 billion in October 2024, This is a drop from the GHS 807.8 billion Cedis recorded in September 2024.
Regarding the external component of the debt, the data showed that it went down between September 2024 and October 2024.
It dropped by GH¢52.6 billion to GH¢453.7 billion, approximately $27.9 billion.
This represented 44.5% of GDP.
