The Administering Board of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) has concluded the arrangement of Professor Johnson Nyarko Boampong as the Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. Boampong was initially appointed to a four-year appellation in June 2020, with his administration alpha in August 2020.

His appellation clearly concluded on July 31, 2024.

Although there was a declared addendum of his arrangement by two years, the administering board has declared this addendum absent and void, citinewsroom.com reports.

In a apprehension active by the Chairman of UCC's Administering Council, Professor Harold S. Amonoo-Kuofi, it stated; "Please agenda that the declared renewal/extension of your arrangement as Vice-Chancellor at the Council's affair on the 28th of July 2023, for a appellation of two (2) years able 1st August 2024, is abandoned and appropriately aforementioned is revoked as it breaches the University's Statutes on face-lifting of arrangement of the Vice-Chancellor."
