The Chairman of the Ga West Presbytery, Reverend Enoch Adjei Pobee, has urged families to impart their history and languages to their children to inculcate in them a sense of belongingness and pride. He expressed worry that many children could not speak their mother tongue but rather fluent in the English language. "Yes it is true we were colonised by the white man therefore English language is common but we must not forget to speak our own language, which could help our children understand and develop our country better," he said. He said this at a sod-cutting ceremony for the refurbishment of the church building of Fritz Ramseyer Memorial Congregation, Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG) in Bubuashie over the weekend. The refurbishment of the building which is more than 60-year-old is to create enough space to accommodate the increasing number of congregants. Rev.
